Commissions: commissions@akibenetah. net

What is a commission? Any piece of art a commissioner pays an artist to do. Much like hiring the artist, but on a piece-by-piece basis.
Below, I've describe my terms. Further below is described how you can get prints of Hellomuffin strips.
If you like my design and drawing style and would like to see it applied to your own site graphic, logo, website, comic script, webcomic, character description, ie. any item within my range of expertise, it'd be wise to commission me.
I'm not a professional artist, and I do not charge obscene amounts of money for commissions.

I can be commissioned for the following list of items. For styles and prices, see further below.
I'm more experienced with perspectives, landscapes, and subjects with an anatomy.
Drawings: Ink. I paint with paintbrush and inks, preferrably in B&W. I color with pencils also if it's requested. Examples:
01 | 02 | 03 | 04
Drawings: Pencil. Pencil drawings can optionally be colored with colored pencils. Examples:
01 | 02 | 03 | 04 | 05
Drawings: Ink and CG. I can color ink drawings digitally. Examples:
01 | 02 | 03 | 04
Comics from script. Comics being my main field, I happily take commissions where the script is already provided. I'm accustomed to B&W inking style, but I can work with pencils, colored pencils, and CG if you want.
Guest cartooning: If you're a cartoonist I'd be happy to create a guest comic for you, with or without a provided script. I can trade this with a guest comic in return, which will be posted as part of the Hellomuffin archive.
Design: Web. I design web pages using Macromedia Dreamweaver AND knowledge of HTML. Examples: This site. Central Cipalities.
Design: Web graphics. If you need graphics for rollovers, buttons or just decoration for your website, I can make them for you.
Design: Logos. I can design good logos for your company to a ridiculously low price, as compared to what you'd have to pay elsewhere. TOP

As for my drawing style: Keep in mind that I'm a comic artist. This is what I'm accustomed to do. I can draw in other styles, but the result will be better in my favourite style -- which is what you see in the most recent comic strips.
If you don't envision a cartoonish or stylistic appearance of the item you want me to draw, it's better you look elsewhere. The same applies to realistic drawings, that's not my cup of tea, I'm afraid.
Concerning art style and integrity, there are a couple guidelines:
Dos. If you want, I can:
Bend my drawing style in whichever direction, ie. make it more surrealistic, childish, angular, etc.
Imitate the ways of other artists, to a certain degree.
Draw characters of other artists' property, with their written consent.
Draw from photos and/or recreate realistic images in my own drawing style.
Don'ts. I will under no circumstances:
Copy the style of another artist.
Copy the artistic property of another artist.
Use the artistic property of another artist without his or her written consent. TOP

The procedure, all from you decide you want me to create something for you, until you have the item in your hand, or on your disk, goes as follows.
1. Contact. Send me an email with the exact description of what you want me to do. The more accurate, the better. Not only for the sake of the result, but for me to determine beforehand if I can complete the job in a timely manner. I'm not a full-time artist at all, so sometimes I have less time on my hands than other times.
2. Discussion. I'll respond with an elaboration on how I'd take on the job, and with questions clarifying exactly what it is you want. We'll mail back and forth until I know precisely what you have in mind. At this point I'll have an idea of how much time, material and shipping costs are involved in the job, and I'll have an idea of the total price. We agree on a price per hour as well as the hours estimate before moving on.
3. Advance. At this point I want 50% of the estimated payment. Payment must be done by bank transfer. Sorry -- I don't trust PayPal further than I can throw them.
4. Drafting. When I have received the advance payment, I begin the process. I'll make a draft, show it to you, change anything you want differently, re-do the draft, and repeat the process until you declare yourself satisfied.
5. I do my thing. I keep in close contact with you throughout the process. I let you know beforehand if I suspect I'll need more hours than estimated. I work the extra hours for free if they exceed 20% (a fifth) of the initial hours estimate.
6. Approval. I edit the final item until you approve that this is indeed what you commissioned me to do. This is where the final price will be settled.
7. Final payment. Subtracting what you've already paid and adding the shipping costs, you'll transfer to me the remainder of the total price.
8. Shipping. As soon as I receive the payment, I ship the item to your post address.
Traditional drawings will be shipped rolled-up nicely in cardboard tubes. Digital drawings will be shipped as a .TIFF file on a CD-ROM as well as a high-quality print in the type and size of your choice, rolled-up in a cardboard tube, by request. The prints created with a CG job is charged for the material only. I ship anywhere in the world.
Note: I already mentioned I'm not a professional artist. Rest assured, though, that my commissions are handled conscientiously and professionally. TOP

My commission fee is on an hourly basis, where the number of hours estimate is agreed on by the commissioner before I start working.
Below is an approximate of my time frame for the various items. This is only an estimation for your sake; I'll make a definite estimation when I have your description of the commission.

Even if you're hesitat whether you want to commission me or not, don't be afraid to drop me a mail if you're interested in one of the items.
I'll answer any questions you might have, without binding you in any way. I don't expect you to assign me with a commission until the advance is settled and transferred.

You can get high-quality prints of Hellomuffin-strips, in glossy or matte finish, and in two sizes.
Size 1 fills the width of an A4 sheet with the strip width.
Size Half 1 fills the width of an A4 sheet with two strips' width.
Because Hellomuffin is vertical, one print will span two or more pages. Regardless of what size is chosen, the print is assembled so that no panels are cropped. TOP

All prices given are per sheet.
Strips have lengths varying from 2-8 sheets (size 1) and 1-4 sheets (size Half 1); drop me a mail to get the exact length. It's also possible to get selected panels of a strip as a print, if that's what you want.
Glossy OR matte finish:
1. Size 1: $2
2. Size Half 1: $3
Shipping:
1. Within Europe: $10
2. Worldwide: $15
Note: Work is done in a printing office, using professional equipment and high-quality paper. Prints are protected within rigid carboard tubes for shipping. TOP
